Bush beastie

Face in a bushIT’S AMAZING what you can do with a broken bin, a couple of plant pots, some paint and a bit of imagination . . .

This new, and as yet, unidentified species of bush beastie was spotted alive and well and raising smiles at the side of the road.

Someone obviously grew up watching good old Blue Peter . . . although sightings of sticky-back plastic are as yet unconfirmed.

Weird #19October 2006

WELCOME TO October’s Halloween Special Edition - and a month that’s seen all manner of strange and bizarre ‘goings on’ in the weird world of “J” and beyond . . .

This month’s ‘social interactions’ haven’t strictly been interactions of a social nature as such . . . no, they’ve been a little more stranger than that and have included a rather alarming experience with a haunted letterbox, a haunted phone line and not one, but three separate incidents involving haunted toilets. Sadly, or maybe not depending on how you look at it, there isn’t enough space to document everything, but let’s just say, they redefined the notion of strange . . .

Weird #18September 2006

WELCOME TO September’s edition and a month that saw ones other half being propositioned on the doorstep yet again by a grubby old man, albeit this time with the promise of a couple of firm pears. Given that the previous incident involved a tin of salmon, it’s difficult to know whether things are actually improving . . .

Meanwhile back in the weird world of “J” this month’s ‘social interactions’ have involved a rather traumatic indecent exposure incident where certain members of the public felt the need to flash certain parts of their anatomy, oh and of course a rather bizarre encounter with a long sausage shaped parcel, a pet and another member of Idiots Inc. . . Enjoy!

Weird #17August 2006

WELCOME TO August’s edition - a month that’s seen ones other half being propositioned on the doorstep by a grubby old man and a tin of salmon no less, although it does appear that yours truly was actually the intended target or victim (depending how you look at it); don’t ask! Still it’s nice to know I’m not the only one who experiences the strange doorstep phenomenon, otherwise known as the portal for peculiars . . .

Though having being on the receiving end of yet another visit by Idiots Inc., at least ‘life’s little peculiarities’ are interesting . . . whereas idiots well, idiots I really can do without . . .

Weird #13April 2006

WELCOME TO April’s happenings and another six pages of mildly amusing escapism. This month’s happenings have included an incident involving a rather mad member of public canvassing for votes, the experience of some highly entertaining audience participation, and a rather unfortunate incident involving a brand new washing machine, a flooded room, a decidedly unhappy husband, and I’m ashamed to say it, me.

Though it has to be said he wasn’t quite as polite!

Anyway, forward your piccies or anything you’d like to share in future issues - well, as long as it’s not contagious mind . . .

Weird #12March 2006

THEY SAY “as mad as a March hare!” don’t they? I don’t know about March hare’s, but March has certainly been a “mad month.” Whenever I think things couldn’t get any stranger something always happens to make me think again. In many ways I’m glad because it would be awful to think you’ve seen and experienced all that’s strange out there and will never have that “I don’t believe that happened” feeling ever again, wouldn’t it?

Well, I think so, and once again this month’s happenings prove no exception . . .

Weird #11February 2006

FEBRUARY, short as it was, has been a particularly confusing month with encounters involving smiling strangers, persons of ambiguous gender and a multitude of confused barmpots.

Oh, and where would we be without those loud and uninvited comments from the good old general public? I mean being accused of smelling like a tramp on account of purchasing ones husband some of those nice chocolate rum balls for their birthday, isn’t exactly an everyday occurrence is it? Well, thankfully not yet anyway . . .

Weird #10January 2006

JANUARY has been a most peculiar month where seemingly normal people came out of self-enforced hibernation to go about seemingly normal lives. Well that and an attempt at reacquainting themselves with society that is . . . How effective this was going to be obviously depended on one’s social skills and ability to interact with other members of the community, or even inanimate objects for that matter, but there were always going to be one or two extremely bizarre examples . . .

As ever, it really does take all sorts to make up this world!
